Meet Miss Fiona !! I'll only have a whisper of a tail, but I have a BIG smile!! Adopters ??! Hey!! I'm ready when you are!! It's always astonishing how the stars can align and bring good fortune after a devastating event. Meet stately, beautiful, Senior lady, Fiona. This lovely 9 year old senior was dumped by her family when they moved, slamming the door and never looking back. And then, the stars sent San Antonio Doberman Advocacy and Rescue Angels Fiona's way. A local volunteer from SADAR brought her to their veterinarian, where it was discovered Fiona had a few minor medical issues which have been resolved - but, there remains one problem that needs to be surgically addressed... Fiona's tail needs to be removed. The tail has become recessed and should be excised so Fiona can feel, balance, and walk better properly without discomfort or the danger of infection. This isn't an ordinary tail-dock - it's a reconstruction. The vertebrae involved are further up the spine than would normally be exposed. Fiona is an extraordinary Senior (aren't they all?). It is unimaginable that anyone can have such beauty in their life and simply turn their back on it. You can be assured SADAR won't falter in doing their very best to help Fiona be the best she can be.
