UPDATE: Dear Toby was reluctantly returned to High Desert Doberman Rescue because his new person's health and strength deteriorated and he couldn't give Toby all the attention he deserved. Hopefully a new wonderful family will find dear Toby again!!

Senior boy Toby was pulled from a Texas shelter after being surrendered by his owner. It appears he lived outside in his last home as his coat is rough and he has callouss on his elbows. He also has a very large cyst under his chin that will be removed before he’s ready to be adopted. Toby is a sweet boy who gets along with all the dogs he meets and has never met a person he didn’t want to love him. He does not destroy anything in the home when left alone. It is unclear if he’s not housebroken or that he’s just not feeling confident about going outside given all the changes that have occurred in his life recently. Toby is seeking a home where he will be loved forever, has a comfy bed to sleep on, and he can regain his confidence.
