Rizzo is an 8 year old senior who came to High Desert Doberman Rescue with his sister Zelda. They came from another rescue with the diagnoses of failure to thrive Seniors. His sister Zelda passed away in spite of all the medical care the rescue could give her. They continue to evaluate and treat Rizzo for multiple issues that have persisted since he arrived at Rancho Doberado. Coccidia, Erlichia, Anaplasmosis and Giardia are a few of the challenges he has faced. He is slowly improving with his current regimen and is receiving regular check ups along the way. This gem is as sweet and loving as they come and his favorite pastime is taking a siesta in bed with papa. Hopefully, medical treatment combined with home, family, love and good cooking will do the trick for Rizzo long term.
