Meet
Miss Darla... From facing a coward's firing squad...
...to becoming Darling Darla!! Care to join me on
my sunny veranda for
a Mint Julep and croissants??
Meet
darling, sweet, lover girl, 12 year-old Darla. Life has
not aways been good for this wonderful Senior girl. She
was brought to a vet's office, lifeless and with maggots
covering her vulva. Upon examination, the vet found severe
Pyometra, dehydration, starvation, and of course she was
heart worm positive. Her people didn't want to pay for her
care so they decided to take her home and shoot her. The
vet was able to convince them to sign her over to them and
she was nursed back to health and recovered from her severe
neglect after having emergency surgery and gaining 20 pounds.
When she arrived to her rescue's foster home, she was set
up in the dining room. But by the next morning, she had
disappeared. Her Foster Mom was frantic until she found
that Darla had chosen the guest bedroom and moved all of
her belongings there during the night, including her bed,
blankets, and toys. So, this is now Darla's room! She scampers
out to play for short periods of time then returns to her
room for her nap. She enjoys treats, hugs, and a warm place
to lay in the sun. Darla takes all of her medications every
day like a good girl, is house broken, and will be allowed
to spend the rest of her days in her Foster's (and now her)
home. Darla's Foster Mom says her life and heart will never
be the same because of her darling girl Darla!! Loved
and cherished at last!!
