Meet The Duke!!

...Of Miss Ella's heart!!

It's my Ella... a tisket, a tasket...

Duke is almost 13 years old, absolute sweet old red boy who has returned to rescue because his owner passed away. He was a doll when we originally adopted him out 8 years ago. Duke was originally Baja when he came into rescue and several people calling about him could never pronounce his name correctly, they would call him BayJay! So of course that is what we ended up jokingly calling him. He became Duke in his new home and was spoiled rotten just as he should be. Duke is now a bit unsteady when he walks and full of "old man bumps" but healthy otherwise.

Their Dad must have been a real fan of Miss Ella (Fitzgerald) as he already had a Duke (Ellington)!!  Jazz on!!

Special Needs If Any:  Duke is part of a bonded pair of Dobies so the rescue would like to keep them together. See the bio on Ella.

Geographic areas you adopt to: Once cleared of HW, Kentucky and surrounding states and will adopt outside that area if a home visit can be arranged and the people are willing to travel to meet the Dobe in their foster home.
