Zoey !
May, 2021 - Rest In Peace dear Miss Zoey!
You
are so very loved, forever!!
Meet
Miss Zoey!!
Zoey is the Greek word for life...
and,
I'm full of life and full LOVE!!!
If
you agree, I'm ready to give it up for YOU!!
Zoey
came to rescue from a Bay Area animal shelter in late February,
2021. She had reportedly been abandoned by a transient and was
brought to the shelter, where shelter employees found her very
treat-driven and lovable, allowing all handling and often play-bowing
to her handlers. She loves people and reliably gives a full butt
wag. Zoey had reportedly lived on the street with a male German
Shepherd, but her behavior toward other dogs when leashed isn't
friendly, perhaps due to having felt the need to protect the transient
from strange dogs and people. When she arrived at our rescue ranch,
we hoped to be able to blend her with several other free-roamers
due to her age, which was estimated at 10 years. Zoey became quite
defensive and would not let the other dogs approach her, so for
the best outcome for her golden years, we think she should either
be the only dog companion to a senior or housebound person, or
perhaps keep company with another senior dog of the opposite sex
who would not make any demands on her.
Special Needs if any: None.
Geographic Areas: California
and the surrounding states.
