Amber!
When Amber was rescued from a Pacific Northwest area shelter last year, she was in pretty
sad shape. As a result of TLC and a good diet in foster care,
she is now strong and healthy. Amber is currently seeking her forever home with the
help of the Puget Sound DobeRescue/Seattle Purebred Dog Rescue.
Amber is a very sweet 8-year-old spayed red girl, with natural
ears and a docked tail. She knows her basic obedience quite well and is social,
but she definitely does not like those soft, furry things called kitty-cats.
Her foster mom tells us, "She is the sweetest of girls - very well-behaved and
gets along great with the other dogs in the household (except one very alpha Doberbitch
who I have not introduced to Amber - I want to keep some kind of peace in the house!)
She loves chewing on her nylabone and getting scratches." The SDP has heard a rumor
that Amber has grown quite fond of relaxing on soft beds. (Nope, couldn't be true -
no Dobe likes beds or couches, right? Wrong!)
Amber's health is good except for a bit of incontinence.
Her blood and urine tests show nothing abnormal, but her vet did see an anatomical
anomaly that may be the source of the problem. Although PPA hasn't agreed with her
and DES hasn't been especially effective, Amber seems comfortable and happy.
