Buddy!
This
poor boy was discovered by the side of the road with a gunshot wound
in the neck and apparently left for dead. Someone found him, got
him help, and he recovered from the injury.
Buddy is a black/rust, natural-eared, docked-tailed boy of probably
9-10 years. He walks well on a leash, but due to scar tissue and
possibly a touch of wobblers or arthritis, Buddy has some discomfort
in his neck and hips. (Currently he is on daily Glucosamine/Chondroitin
and he gets Rimadyl if he has bad days.)
Buddy is sweet
and loving with people who know to be gentle with his sensitive
areas. He is very affectionate and wants only to be near his person.
He is loyal and loves to cuddle. Buddy is looking for a home with
a Dobe-savvy person who will make sure he has soft beds to lay on
and will manage his pain. On medication, Buddy is a happy boy and
he loves going on walks. He is at that wonderful age when happiness
comes with a nice walk and quiet evening by your side. He deserves
a good home after all he has endured.
He can be a
little grumpy with other dogs that may accidentally jostle him,
and because of that, would prefer a home with no other canines.
Buddy is reliably housetrained and uses a dog door. He can be very
sweet, but will snap if he is pushed (so no children). Buddy is
a dominant male and lives with multiple dogs, but does not do well
with other dominant dogs. He is VERY interested in cats and should
not be placed with them.
