Kelso came into rescue for the first time about four or so years ago as a stray. He lived in foster care for about one year before being adopted by a lady who lived in a rural area. She had ducks and other pets on her property, and Kelso enjoyed chasing the ducks. The lady was physically abusive to Kelso, and returned him to rescue for “chasing her ducks.” Kelso lived in a foster home for about two years before finally being adopted by a nice couple who adored him and took very good care of him until the wife was recently diagnosed with cancer. The husband lost his job, and the couple made the difficult decision of returning Kelso to rescue once again due to financial hardship and complications with the wife’s health. Kelso has been adopted twice and returned most recently because his forever owner was diagnosed with cancer and became unemployed. He is back in foster care and has been for approximately 6 weeks

Kelso is a male dobergentleman of 9 years. Cropped, docked and spayed. He has no medical needs that will need to be attended to and is totally reliable in the house. He is cat-friendly, dog-friendly, kid-friendly. Kelso is laid-back and extremely affectionate. He tends to be a little on the shy side once you first meet him, but he warms up nicely given some time. Kelso loves to lounge around on dog beds and nap in the sun on a cool breezy afternoon. He has a solid understanding of how to behave in the house, as well as basic obedience. He weighs about 85 lbs, and is healthy. He plays with his foster mom's younger dogs. If you are looking for a very affectionate, stable tempered and calm companion...Kelso is the dog for you!!
