Gulliver!

Gulliver was found stray by Animal Control in Plano, Texas, and was never claimed by his owner. After picking him up from the shelter, his foster mom saw that he was dirty, flea and tick infested, and most unfortunately, he wasn't responding to her voice. After he was vetted (shots, neuter, bath, nail trim), the vet tested him with simple sounds. He didn't respond to any voice or clapping sounds, but did hear a puppy down the hall whining, so perhaps his world isn't totally silent.

This sweet boy is between 8 and 10 years old, black/tan, cropped, docked, and neutered. Gulliver is in a foster home with several other Dobes from North Texas who are looking for their forever homes. Gulliver is deaf, and does not interact with other dogs very much. He needs a home with minimal commotion. Gulliver is crate-trained and moderately house trained, but doesn't use the doggie door. He likes to chew on any kind of bone or rawhide. He also loves to go for walks, and is most enthusiastic on a leash. His back end is somewhat unsteady, though. Gulliver likes routine - he is very upset if another dog is lying on "his" bed, but he just barks as if to say, "Get off!" – he never growls or fights. He is looking for a quiet place to live out his life. Gulliver also needs glucosamine supplements for his back end, and has a lick granuloma on his left front paw.
