Meet
Mr. Pax!!
Ignore my silly ears... :)) I'm reall NOT a bunny!
I'm seriously a Prince!!
Seriously!!
Whaddya
say?
Pax
is a seven year old, still intact, handsome gent who came into
rescue through no fault of his own. Pax and another Doberman
were surrendered to rescue because their owner was moving into
hospice. Both dogs had known only love and kindness.
Both are up to date on vaccines and healthy, or so everyone thought,
until bloodwork found that Pax had elevated liver enzymes.
As soon as they came into rescue they were taken to a vet where
bloodwork was done. The bloodwork found that Pax's liver enzymes
were elevated. After six weeks on Denamarin and antibiotics, his
liver enzymes were still high. Pax has had a chest x-ray and ultrasound
to rule out cancer, but specialists still have no answers.
Pax needs a liver biopsy to find out exactly what is going on
or at least rule out one more thing - copper storage disease.
Copper storage disease is suspected but must be confirmed before
any treatment can begin.
Special
Needs if any: Love and comfort which he will get.
Geographic
areas: Not available.
