Meet Miss Silvia!! A Sweet DobeLady with a penchant for puddy-tats!!

What?? Did I hear someone say PUDDY TAT??

I just love these little dudes and dudettes!! And... they love me too!!

Sweet 8 year-old Silvia was surrendered to rescue because her owner was divorcing and moving out of state. Silvia is a special needs Doberman due to diabetes and she requires insulin injections twice per day. When she arrived to rescue her diabetes was not well controlled causing her to urinate in the house. A visit to the vet showed her blood sugars were dangerously high. Her insulin dose has been adjusted and she has been started a high quality grain free diet. Since then she's had no accidents in her foster home. Silvia has also developed cataracts which is common in diabetic dogs, especially if their diabetes has been allowed to get out of control. Regardless of her health issues, Silvia is a real doll to have around. She loves all people, other dogs, and adores cats. She is crate trained and has fit in to her foster home with no trouble at all. This Senior girl may have some health issues but her wonderful personality more than makes up for it.

Special Needs if any: Needs two insulin injections per day and has developed cataracts.

Geographic areas: Rescue will consider applications throughout the U.S. and Canada providing a home visit can be done.

The Sponsor A Senior program helps Seniors by raising funds for their rescue programs. This helps offset some of the additional costs that come with caring for a senior (diet, medications, supplements, etc.). Please read more about this program on the Sponsor A Senior page.

Miss Silvia is looking for a sponsor! The cost to sponsor a Senior Dobe is $30 per month or $360 per year. You can sponsor a Senior for one month, one year, or somewhere in between.
