Meet Miss Elf! Who's Gilding Who here??
She's as beautiful as the flowers surrounding her!

Adorable 9 year-old Elf is a very petite and impish Senior girl was picked up off the streets on the west side of Cincinnati, alone, emaciated, and taken to the SPCA. At first they thought she was deaf but with some good food and a safe place to recover they found that she was only a little hard of hearing. This adorable little girl is all Dobe and she loves to be with her foster mom and will follow her everywhere. As tiny as she is she is fearless and walked through the kennels at Southwest Ohio Doberman Rescue unafraid of the other Dobermans, even the much larger and stronger ones. Elf would be excellent in any home, apartment, or condo. She is housebroken and does not destroy anything in the home. She loves to cuddle in her foster mom's lap and is a quiet girl. She loves being with other dogs, both male and female. She will approach, wag her nub, and stare them down until they agree to play with her. She does not find cats interesting at all so could easily share a home with one. Elf is a very special and charming little dobie girl who is a pleasure to be around.

Geographic areas you adopt to: Rescue will consider applications throughout the U.S. and Canada providing a home visit can be done.

Southwest Ohio Doberman Rescue will consider applications from throughout the U.S. and Canada, provided we can get a home visit done. Travel to meet the dog and transportation of the dog to its new home (ground only) are the responsibility of the adopter. See our website for further details. An application is required.

The Sponsor A Senior program helps Seniors by raising funds for their rescue programs. This helps offset some of the additional costs that come with caring for a senior (diet, medications, supplements, etc.). Please read more about this program on the Sponsor A Senior page.

Miss Elf is looking for a sponsor! The cost to sponsor a Senior Dobe is $40 per month or $480 per year. You can sponsor a Senior for one month, one year, or somewhere in between.
