Sammy came into rescue in May 2003, when his family claimed they did not have time to care for him, because they had a new baby. His rescuers found he had many ticks and was rather thin. He is currently in foster care and receiving the love and treatment all seniors should have. Sammy is 7 years old, black and tan, cropped and docked, and neutered. He is good with kids and other dogs, housebroken and well behaved. He has no known medical conditions, other than some gastro-intestinal problems, which are being treated. He seems to know basic commands and will require a 6ft high fence as he is exhibiting signs of wanting to jump over a shorter fence.
