Sweet Chrissie at 7 years-old found herself dumped at the local shelter because her owners didn't want to pay for the medical care she needed. Due to her age and medical condition the shelter would not put her on the adoption floor but listed her for rescue only and her time was short. The rescue angels of Doberman Rescue of Nevada could not allow this adorable girl to be euthanized and they came to the rescue. Total neglect from her former family left her with a right ear that was nearly clogged with grit from a bacterial infection, a badly infected toenail, and teeth that needed serious medical attention. In spite of all the pain she was in she is a happy girl and the vet who took care of her commented three times when talking to the rescue that, "she's very sweet". She is housebroken and so well behaved that she was allowed to wander around the treatment room freely while at the clinic. She likes everyone and everything and it would have been a tragic waste to have allowed her to be PTS at the shelter. Special Needs if any: After some much-need medical attention to her ears, teeth and toes Miss Chrissie is fit as a fiddle!! Geographic areas for adoptions: Any state in the western part of the U.S. as long as a home visit can be arranged. New adopters must come to Nevada to meet the Doberman they wish to adopt and bring with them any pet who lives in the home.
