Brutus!

Brutus in Albuquerque, New Mexico

Brutus’ family is going through a divorce and no member of the family will keep him beyond the end of March. He is currently in his original home.

Brutus is 9 years old, black/tan, has natural ears, a docked tail, and neutered. He is dominant but not aggressive with other animals. Brutus has been with one family since being weaned from his mother and was raised with 3 children, another dog and a cat.

He is the dominant animal of the three and is quick to keep the others aware of his status. Brutus is very loving and playful and likes to wrestle with his dog-mate. He is in excellent health having had annual vet visits. Brutus enjoys a daily walk around the neighborhood and an occasional hike in the foothills. He has taken on a protective role of many a stray animal that needed a place to stay until they found a home of their own. Brutus needs a supervised introduction to other animals prior to being left on their own. Brutus is well mannered and housebroken and understands basic obedience commands.
