Sarah Jane!
Sarah
was apparently abandoned to a backyard for four years because
of her inability to "get along" with
the new dog that was brought into the household. Sarah is safe
in foster care now and has recently been to a behaviorist to try
and help her foster mom understand her. She is described as "A
sweet dog who has been mentally impoverished."
Sarah Jane is a 7 year old cropped and docked red
dobergirl. She needs to be an only dog and needs an owner committed
to continuing her training and helping her gain some confidence
through clicker training. She's very smart and willing to please.
She wags her tail and gives kisses. Sadly, she doesn't seem to
think she deserves very much out of life, though: things like
being in a house, and having someone pay attention to her and
work with her. You should see her light up when someone asks her
to do something!
Sarah needs to be an only dog and probably no small
children. She walks nicely on a leash. Due to being a “stresses
dog,” Sarah’s behaviorist made food recommendations
of fish oil and avoiding corn, wheat, and soy.
Contact Information: Recycled Dobermans
Rescue and Referral will place Sarah Jane in New Jersey, New York,
or Pennsylvania. Please contact Michelle Carlson by e-mail at

The Sponsor A Senior program helps Seniors by
raising funds for their rescue programs. This helps offset
some of the additional costs that come with caring for a senior
(diet, medications, supplements, etc.). Please read more about
this program on the Sponsor
A Senior page.
Sarah Jane is looking for a sponsor! The cost to
sponsor a Senior Dobe is $30 per month or $360 per year. You
can sponsor
a Senior for one month, one year, or somewhere in between.
To sponsor Sarah Jane, use the PayPal button below or visit
the Sponsor A Senior page for instructions on sending a check.
Thank you for any help you can give, it is MUCH appreciated!
