Mr. Bojangles!
This
handsome Doberman was picked up by animal control on a severe neglect
case and weighed only 58 lbs. A wonderful family adopted him and
nurtured him back to good health. "Bo" has lived with
the family for almost a year, but now has to find a new home. He
has filled out and is now approximately 80 lbs. He's still a bit
timid when first meeting strangers, but quickly warms up to anyone
with treats.
Bo is a black male with rust markings, has cropped ears (one flops),
a docked tail, and neutered. He is 7 - 7 ½ years old, micro-chipped,
crate trained, and current on all vaccinations and monthly heart
worm preventative. He is great with children, good with other dogs,
and good with cats.
The Doberfella is very laid back, extremely affectionate and extremely
quick to learn. He especially loves spending time with the humans,
and has been living in a family with six and nine year old children.
He loves the children and follows them around as though he's baby-sitting.
He has another Dober-companion in the home. He basically ignores
cats! He loves to go for car rides and behaves like a gentleman
while riding. He's extremely well-behaved in the house and has free
roam. He walks easily when on lead and when loose - he doesn't even
run off in unfenced areas.
He wants a very special home where he will be given a lot of special
attention to allow him to continue to be the velco-Doberman he's
become.
