Bessie!
Bessie's Dobermom is moving to a nursing home and cannot take her beloved pet with her.
Bessie's owner had her since she was a pup. At the moment, sweet Bessie is a little bewildered
and confused, but in very good health with no medical issues other than being slightly overweight.
Bessie currently lives in a foster home with a male Doberman.
Bessie is 7 years old, black/rust, cropped, docked, spayed and micro-chipped.
She is housetrained, good with children and large dogs. She should not be in a home with cats.
She's a delightful Dobergirl and always seems ready to please. She wants to be close to
the humans and is very affectionate, so be prepared for face washes with Doberkisses.
If you stop petting her, she will take your hand or arm and nudge you to start again.
This is a true velcro-Doberman. She loves to be close to people, and is comfortable sitting
at your feet or gently resting on your knee. She knows how to "speak" and is especially
vocal at dinnertime.
Bessie walks well on leash, knows basic obedience
commands, "sit," "stay," "come" and "down." She doesn't jump up
on people and is very well behaved. She loves to go for car rides
and settles quickly by stretching out on the backseat. Pick up her
leash, and she's ready for a walk, and also enjoys going outside
in the backyard and lying in a sunny spot. She's a darling Dobergal
still full of life and quite active. She has a lot of love to give
in her remaining years, and all she needs now is a permanent, forever
home.
