Miss Chloe has been adopted!!! Somebody just got lucky!
Happy, happy retirement Sweet Lady!
HIP HIP HOOOORAY!!
Meet Miss Josie of the Flowers!!
Sweet
8 year-old Chloe was surrendered to the LA-SPCA by her family.
She had once lived inside the home but was put outside to
live after the couple had a baby. During this time her medical
care was ignored until they finally surrendered her to the
shelter. Gulf Coast Doberman rescue steps in - they were
there to pull another Doberman and saw Chloe. Their hearts
would not allow them to leave her behind. When she first
came to rescue she had large areas of missing hair from
a skin infection which had gone untreated. She also had
a urinary tract infection and badly needed a dental requiring
several teeth be pulled. All that and heartworm positive
too!! With the medical intervention and tender care of her
foster mom she is now looking wonderful and feeling so much
better. She is now starting her heartworm treatment in the
last leg of her journey back to good health. She is as sweet
as she is beautiful getting along with all dogs, large and
small and she adores children.
Geographic
areas: Louisiana, Mississippi, and lower Alabama
Special
Needs: She has started leaking urine and drinking a lot
of water so she will undergo testing to rule out diabetes.
We will update this portion of her page after we find out
more.
