Meet Mr. Elmer!!

...Elmer, very HAPPY!!

Elmer is a sweet old boy who came to rescue from the south. His owners were moving and didn’t want to take him with them. It’s hard to know why that would be true as you could not find a sweeter boy if you tried. Elmer really is a true southern gentleman. He is heartworm positive and peeing blood when he arrived. He is now on a special diet and antibiotics to help clear up his issues. He was was left outside a lot and it seems it got him into a little trouble. His x-rays show some buckshot so who knows what kind of people he ran into on his travels. He also has an old injury to his back leg but it doesn’t seem to bother him too much. All in all Elmer is just a sweet old man looking for someone to hang out with. So far he is getting along with his foster siblings. He’s smart enough to do what these girls tell him to do. He loves people and and has never met a stranger.

Geographic Adoption Area: Kentucky and surrounding states but will adopt outside that area if a home visit can be arranged and the people are willing to travel to meet the Dobe in their foster home.
