Meet
Miss Sweet Sarah!!
Well,
HELLO!! Aren't I just the Mag? As in Magnificent!!
Kitchen
or living room!! I look great!!
Would you like a cup of tea while you decide??
At
11 years old (will be 12 in February), Sarah was turned
into animal control during the recent cold snap for having
accidents in the house. Her owner had major health issues
of his own and could no longer take care of her, but animal
control is no place for this amazing girl. A volunteer was
able to pick Sarah up immediately, and another volunteer
was able to bring her straight to the vet to see what the
issue was and take her home to a warm spot in the kitchen.
Her urinalysis was negative for infection, and the bloodwork
was perfect. This mature girl had a good old fashioned case
of leaking, and she started on Proin and improved 90% immediately.
Sarah is thin and has weak muscles in her hind end, so she’d
appreciate walks to gain strength again. She is quiet as
a mouse and absolutely no trouble in her foster home. She
does her best to keep her blankets dry, but we are still
working out the dose of the inexpensive daily medication.
She ignores the other dogs in the foster home when they
walk past her, but she has not been mingled yet. She has
no known history with cats or kids. Sarah knows sit, down,
and paw, and it breaks our heart to picture the person who
taught her all of that having to surrender her to animal
control for a manageable issue at her age. If you have an
open spot in your heart and home for this sweet lady, please
consider her.
