Meet
Miss Sadie! Retirement at eight isn't so bad now!!
Sweet Sadie is an 8 year-old lady and the
living definition of what rescue is all about. She could
barely walk when she arrived at Illinois Doberman Rescue
- and this because of a combination of an old leg fracture
and hip dysplasia on one side - and some possible cervical
issues contributing to her gait. Though her previous owner
did have her injured leg fixed, the reason for the injury
is shocking. One day when she went to a neighbor's yard
to play with his dog she was hit with a large metal chain.
Sadie is now on pain medication and over time
will be assessed for comfort. Despite her history, she is
a very sweet and gentle girl who seems quite happy to lay
on her dog bed and chew on her bone. She needs a quiet home
with few stairs as she is only able to manage two at a time.
Sadie is in need of either a new forever home or a foster
home. Please contact Illinois Doberman Rescue if you'd like
to help her in either way.
Special Needs if any: Wobblers and hip dysplasia
