Red was turned into the shelter with Fergie. He is 9 years old as well, but not too much more is known about his past. Red had a rough start with us in rescue. When he got neutered he had a hard time with the surgery and his temperature dropped quite a bit. The vet got worried and even hospitalized him for a few days after to get him feeling back up to par. A few weeks later we noticed some strange, large scabs on him so took him to our vet and found out he had actually been burned by laying on a heating pad that was too hot. Poor guy! He is now completely healed but does have a few scars. He is such an easy dog. He and Fergie are in different foster homes but can be placed together as well. They do enjoy each other's company. Red would do best in a quieter home. He is fine with large and small dogs, but not with cats. He is crate trained but does not need to be crated in my home. He does absolutely nothing wrong. His previous owner stated that he is good with kids, but he is very sensitive so older kids would be best. Red walks nicely on a lead and enjoys his walks at a dignified pace. He LOVES to carry around small stuffed toys and picks them up to show you when he is happy.
