Senior
boy Rebel is a happy-go-lucky blue boy who has a joyful
personality and a youthful and full heart. This sweetheart
came up to IDR from the south through the Doberman Assistance
Network. He was surrendered by neglectful owners who kept
him crated almost 24/7 in their homes. Though the husband
worked from home, poor Rebel was crated anyway. On the surrender
form, the owners wrote, "don’t want to be bothered,
just want him gone" and the way they disciplined him
was listed as "being yelled at." Thankfully, this
Rebel’s spirit has not been broken! He is a very loving
boy who just wants to be loved back. He seems fine with
other dogs, though he will be assessed in this area better.
His history with cats is unknown. He should be fine in a
home with children 7 and up. Rebel is SO sweet he just buries
his head in your legs for petting, he prances when he walks,
and he loves his rear end to be scratched. .
