Meet Mr. Rambo!!

Rambo was adopted though IDR+ last year, and unfortunately, the circumstances have changed at his adoptive home, and he will need to return to us. This good natured, 9-year-old, tall, lanky boy needs to find a new home. He is fantastic with other dogs and passed the cat test with flying colors last year (but he does not currently live with a cat). Rambo loves his daily walks, and although he always takes the lead, he does not pull on the leash. He also rides well in a car. Like many Dobes, he can be little restless and anxious, often searching out his owner for reassurance and petting. He has recently started an inexpensive medicine to help with his anxiety. It has also been suggested that living with a calm companion dog may be helpful. He has fully recovered from his initial lick wounds when he first came in a year ago, but does have a remaining lick granuloma on one of right rear paws. He will tolerate a cone if necessary, but gentle reminders “Don’t lick” seem to work just as well. Rambo is an affectionate, well-behaved boy with an expressive face and a lopsided ear. He will not jump up on visitors, is housebroken, and loves to lie on the couch with his head on your lap.
