Nina! Adopted
January 2009!!
|
Nina
is one of the four dogs that came from a puppy mill type
of situation. She is slowly learning but we don’t
want to push her too much, too fast. She is in a foster
home and slowly learning what it is like to be a pet and
not a breeding machine. She came to us just filthy and so
skinny. She is slowly putting on weight and over time her
bad looking coat will be shiny and look healthy. We were
told by the owner that Nina is 7 years old. We are determined
to have the rest of her life be wonderful. She is very scared
of new situations so she has a crate set up and comes out
on her own when she wants since the door is almost always
open. What is really funny is often times the foster mom
will come back and the crate door will be closed with Nina
inside. So as you can see she is a smart girl that even
pulls her own door closed when overwhelmed. She is working
on housebreaking and doing well. She is good with the other
dog in the home and doesn’t chase the cat at all.
No small children due to her level of inexperience.

The Sponsor A Senior program helps Seniors by
raising funds for their rescue programs. This helps offset
some of the additional costs that come with caring for a senior
(diet, medications, supplements, etc.). Please read more about
this program on the Sponsor
A Senior page.
Bowie is looking for a sponsor! The cost
to sponsor a Senior Dobe is $30 per month or $360 per
year. You can sponsor a Senior for one month, one year,
or somewhere in between. To sponsor Baby, use the PayPal
button below or visit the Sponsor
A Senior page for instructions on sending a check.
Thank you for any help you can give, it is MUCH appreciated!
