Meet
Magnificent Mr. Murphy!!
And...
I can sing!
"If
you got the jerky honey... I got the time!"
Heh,
heh, heh...
Murphy
has the most unique coat we've seen on a Dobe in a long
time. His coloring is a dark fawn, and fawn coats are usually
quite thin, but his is super thick! It's like petting a
different breed, but he's all Dobe. Murphy is a sweet older
guy, the vet estimates 8 years, but he still has a lot of
spunk in him. During his photo shoot he sat pretty and showed
us how handsome and well-behaved he is. Due to his age,
his back end is a little scrawny, but regular walks and
maybe a little massage will bulk him up. His little nub
wags when he's happy, and he was kind and friendly to a
dog he met while we were walking on a leash. He has a happy
bounce in his step on walks, and he just wants a nice person
to hang out with. He rode nicely in the crate in the car
from the shelter in Fort Wayne, Indiana where he wound up
after his owner died. Murphy was very scared and confused
when he first arrived at the previous shelter, but he is
doing pretty well with us. Due to a lack of foster homes,
he is currently being boarded in a nice facility we partner
with, but he would love to hang out at your place instead.
