Meet
Miss Mocha!!
CAN
WE TALK??? Am I on??
Here's my most magnificent pose below:
Okay!
Please make your favorite flavor MOCHA!!
Mocha
is a mature gal who is move-in ready. She was reluctantly
given up by her owners due to their medical issues and work
schedule changes. She was adopted her 4 years ago from a
shelter, and they guessed her age at 8 now, but her teeth,
eyes, and mobility are more like 6, so we will split the
difference and call her 7. In her foster home, Mocha is
very well-behaved, knows basic commands, and is a pleasure
to have around. She loves to show off sit, down, and paw.
She will do anything for a treat! Mocha is crate trained;
although, she can be trusted loose. Her favorite toy is
an alligator stuffie that she carries around like her baby.
Mocha loves to cuddle on the couch with her foster mom or
sunbathe with the resident senior male Great Pyrenees. She
also tolerates a younger, more energetic foster (Bubba)
to chase and play in the yard. She lived with a male Maltese
in her previous home. She gets along better with males,
so she needs to be the only female dog in the home, and
she prefers to dine alone without other dogs seeing what’s
in her bowl. She is not a fan of the kitties in the foster
home, so no cats for her. She would also be fine as an only
dog.
Mocha
would prefer her own fenced yard since she occasionally
takes time to warm up to new people (especially some men
in hats), but she is fine with the two guys in her foster
home once she got to know them. She pulls a little on leash,
so a fenced yard would offer her her own space for potty
and exercise. Mocha LOVES the car and will happily lie in
the back or rest her head on your shoulder as you drive.
She is very food motivated, and we bet you can still teach
this old dog one new tricks if you show her a treat. Mocha
doesn’t mind an at-home nail trim and has a beautiful
thick coat for a blue Dobe. Her eyes are so mesmerizing.
In her previous home, she lived with an older child, and
at this point in her life, she’d appreciate kids 12
and up (if any).
She
would make a great companion for anyone who is looking for
a nice, calm, polite, no-work-needed best friend. Mocha’s
foster mom says she’s a good balance of Doberman velcro
affection and independence.
Special
Needs if any: Mocha
is on an inexpensive medicine to control very common incontinence
and has an occasional pee accident on the rug during a long
