Meet
Mr. Micah!!

Are
you looking at me? Are you?

Well?
Whaddya think?

I'd
LOOOOVE to be your Micah Man!! See my lead? I'm yours!!
Micah
is a handsome gentleman who was transferred from a suburban
animal control after a legal hold. He seems well-adjusted
and has good manners in his foster home, including appearing
to be housebroken! He knows a few commands, but he is very
treat motivated, so he can learn some new tricks in a recommended
obedience course. Micah will go in his crate, but he prefers
to be out where the action is. He seems to be fine around
the resident Dobermans in his foster home, but we always
recommend a slow intro. He has no known history with cats
or kids, but he should be okay with kids 10 and up who know
how to act nicely around big dogs. Our vet estimates Micah
to be around 7 years old. His heart sounds good, but he
has some typical muscle weakness in his hind legs. This
may be due to not getting enough exercise, or it could be
something else, so he will go back to the vet for more diagnostics
next week. He navigates the carpeted stairs well but no
slick steps. His foster mom put rugs on the wood floors
to help him. He walks nicely on a leash, so hopefully some
at-home PT around the block or up/down the stairs will bulk
that area up. Micah would appreciate a fenced yard (no e-fence)
to play with his toys.
