Meet
Mighty Maxwell!
 
Front

Maxwell
is an 11 year-old Southern gentleman that was found as a
stray, with no one coming forward to claim him. Thanks to
the Doberman Assistance Network (DAN), he’s made it
to Illinois Doberman Rescue all the way from South Carolina.
For a Senior, Maxwell is very mobile. His temporary foster
home says he is housebroken and loves to sleep on the sofa.
Maxwell also loves to be loved and gets along well with
other dogs. He should be fine in a home with children 7
and older. Like many dogs that come from the south, Maxwell
tested positive for heartworms. However, due to his advanced
age and the pain and risk involved with the treatment, the
vet has advised not to treat him so he can live out his
days in comfort instead of recovering with restricted activity
for a month. IDR wants his remaining time to be happy and
comfortable.
