King has traveled all the way from Puerto Rico in hopes to find his forever home. He had a rough life there for 8 years, but he has lots of love to give. His foster mom thinks he’s the sweetest boy and a perfect angel. He was rescued after being stuck between buildings, and Love PR Golden Rescue volunteers and local firefighters managed to break the concrete walls to rescue King. He was then cared for at the shelter in Puerto Rico and made his way to IDR+. After King was vetted, he was found to have some medical issues. Please don’t pass up on this great boy for not being perfect, as he still has much to offer. Due to his blue coat, he has typical bad skin that is maintained with medicated shampoo. He also has arthritis on his back/spine, so he will need to take Carprofen 100mg daily. It seems to be working because you’d never think he has arthritis after seeing the way he runs and plays. During his vetting, they also found King to have a very low-grade heart murmur and Von Willebrand disease. None of his health issues has stopped him from playing with his siblings and enjoying the outdoors. He runs and plays, but he is also very quiet and laid back when you just want to lounge around. King can be crated during your work hours and is housebroken. He loves everyone he meets, dogs and kids included. King will give you the biggest Dober-lean and the best hugs and wraps his leg around yours to hold you tight!
