I just hate the camera! I just love naptime & treats though!!

Meet 11 year-old Senior Lady Johnnie. She came to Illinois Doberman Rescue Plus by way of a caring animal control officer who found her at the side of a road trying to eat a dead carcass. Her history is a unknown but seeing her emaciated condition it's clear that it took a lifetime of neglect and abuse to produce the condition she was found in. She will be treated for heart worms as soon as her condition improves through a good diet and has been placed on Glucosamine. All that said she is a sweet girl and a typical Doberman. She loves her food and will do a happy dance while it is being prepared. Johnnie also loves laying around in the sun and has quickly learned the routine of her foster mom's household. She does not like the rain and will not step a foot outdoors if it is. However, she will pretend to want to go out and if you open the door she steps backwards to the cookie jar in hopes of getting a biscuit! Her foster mom is well trained and is happy to oblige.
