Image
is a sweet old man who came to IDR+ via a shelter in KY.
He was picked up loose, and his chip was a dead-end to find
an owner. However, the chip showed his name was Image, and
he is 8 years old (DOB 9/14/11). His eyes and gray face
show some wisdom and life experience, but he is an easy,
affectionate guy who just wants his ears and neck rubbed.
When loose with the resident dogs in his foster home, he
is fine, but he does not appreciate it when the other dogs
are free when he’s in his crate. It’s called
“barrier reactivity,” which resolves when the
barrier is removed. Image is a smart boy, and he will sit
for a treat. He met a kitty at the vet, and he failed the
cat test. He has no history with kids, but his foster mom
thinks he will be fine with kids 10 and up, who act nicely
around older dogs. He’d appreciate a fenced yard (no
e-fence) and can be leash walked.
