I'm ready!! What are we waiting for??

Bowser is a handsome 8 year old, move-in ready guy who came to IDR+ when his owners realized they no longer had time to properly care for him. This gentleman is crate trained, can go a whole work day without having to go potty, and will lay his head on your lap when he needs to go outside. He knows some basic commands, such as sit, stay, and come. He is a good motivation to keep your kitchen garbage in a cabinet instead of accessible to a curious Dobe. Bowser prefers females and does not get along with males his size but is okay with smaller dogs; however, we think he would be best as an only dog or with a female. He has no history with cats, but he ignored them when tested with a loose dog-savvy cat. He has no history with kids, but he’s laid back enough for children who can respect his space. His favorite activities are being with his people, chewing on nylon bones, lounging around to rest his joints, and playing fetch. Thus, few stairs inside and outside and a fenced yard would be appreciated for this sweet senior, and he’d benefit from joint supplements and CBD oil. Bowser tested heartworm positive, so he is going through treatment in his foster home before he can be placed in his forever home. He would also benefit from a dental, so we will discuss with the vet on the best timing with his HW treatment.
