BEN

Big Ben has arrived at Illinois Doberman Rescue Plus via the kindness of a wonderful good samaritan from Indianapolis. She found Ben wandering the streets and brought him into her home and to her Vet for a complete check up. Soon she contacted us and asked if we had room for Big Ben. Of course we said "Yes!" and Ben's temporary guardian drove him all the way to us from Indianapolis.

Senior Citizen Dobermen are very special to us at IDR+ and Ben is a very sexy senior citizen approximately 11 years young. He may be a bit lumpy but he has a great disposition and is currently enjoying the activity in his new foster home. He gets along with all the dogs he lives with and is most often content to lay on his dog bed and watch all the action going on around him. He will get excited if he sees a tortilla chip and give you a big grin as he begs for a treat. We've also heard that Ben is good with cats but we must caution that Ben doesn't move too fast. We think its a combination of old age and arthritis so we are looking for a home where Ben will not have to worry about stairs.
