Watson
came into rescue after having a really rough few weeks.
His owner was an older woman who loved him very much passed away
and after the neighbors hadn't seen her for almost 2 weeks, called
the police for a welfare check. She was discovered deceased and
Watson alone in the house. With nowhere for him to go, he
was taken to the shelter where he stayed in the back of his kennel,
depressed and grieving. The shelter knew he needed out and contacted
someone who had adopted a Doberman from them in the past and then
contacted us. Thankfully a former adopter of ours stepped up to
foster and the shelter drove him from near Myrtle Beach to meet
a volunteer in Perry, GA on Saturday to get him out as quickly
as possible. With everything going on he has not been eating properly
and has had bad diarrhea. He has seen a vet and is on the mend.
A the shelter they tested him with cats and dogs and did not show
aggression to either, just excitement. He walks well on a leash
and knows his name and how to sit. He’s an absolute sweetheart
and the definition of a Gentle Giant!
