Sierra’s owner became destitute and wound up in jail for writing bad checks. Animal Control took Sierra, along with the woman’s other animals, and they are now in foster homes. Luckily she was pulled by CASA, and has a chance of finding her new adoptive family.

This young 7 year old red/rust, cropped/docked Doberman has excellent manners. She knows basic commands and enjoys being by your side. She enjoys giving kisses and is a very Velcro Dobe! She loves to be brushed and is even very still when her nails are clipped – seems she likes being well groomed! Sierra is still rather playful and is especially fond of stuffies and chewies. Does well with male dogs and has lived with cats, but is a little too bossy around other females. She had previously been spayed but is heartworm positive and will be able to join a new family as soon as she has completed treatment. Sierra has two very small growths on her mammary glands that will be removed after she completes her heartworm treatment.

 

CASA would prefer to place Sierra in Metro Atlanta or the surrounding counties, where a qualified Doberman Rescue group is available to perform a home check. Sierra, who has just completed her heartworm treatment, will be living in South Georgia with a wonderful lady and a 13 year old male Dobe.
