Hickson came to GDR after being spread all over facebook when he wandered up to the front door of a good samaritan. She had him scanned for a chip and was able to track down the owner who said he no longer wanted him. She thought she had found him a home, but he ended up dropped off at a suburban Atlanta Animal control because he had heartworms. After picking him up, w also quickly realized he has been debarked. Hickson is quite energetic for his 10 years! He loves to run and play with his foster sister, though sometimes he gets a little bit too obsessed with the ladies. He is heartworm positive and is undergoing treatment. He has also been fighting off an incredibly stubborn ear infection that we are still working on clearing up and will be taking him to a specialist. Since he’s a little obsessed with females, a home without any other dogs is probably best so Hickson can soak up all the attention for himself..

Special Needs if any: None once heartworms are gone!!
