Meet
Mr. Gino!
This is Gino. He is 11 years old. He was turned in by his owner at the beginning of September. She could not keep him due to financial and other hardships. He had not seen a vet since 2015. She was 7 months pregnant with her 5th child and living in a 2nd floor apartment and could barely get him outside quick enough to go to the bathroom, so he was having accidents indoors. When we got him, his mouth was in terrible shape. The vet said he had the worst teeth she had ever seen, and horrible gingivitis. He also had a fever, most likely from an infection in one or more teeth. We immediately started him on antibiotics and a week later he had a dental cleaning and 22 teeth were extracted. You could tell he felt so much better. He is a tall, leggy boy who is a little unstable on his feet. If he walks too quickly or tries to run he often trips over his own feet. He is very calm and affectionate and friendly. He is very submissive to other dogs. Now that his mouth has healed he doesn’t seem to have any other health issues. We’re hoping with regular walks he’ll put on a little muscle and his legs will be stronger. Special Needs if any: None... now! Geographic areas: Within a two hour drive to Atlanta, GA Contact
