freedom!! Did someone say TREATS?? Nummmmmmmy!!
10
year-old Betsy was turned in to an Alabama Shelter in August by
her owner’s mother. She told the shelter that Betsy had
been owned by her daughter since she was a puppy but gave no reason
for the surrender. She thought Betsy was about 5 years old but
it’s clear she at least 10. Betsy tested positive for heartworms
and she leaks during a bit in her sleep. Maybe that’s why
they dumped her? She is being put on medication to get her leak-free
and so far she’s improving. She will be treated soon for
heartworms.
Betsy
is just about the happiest old girl you’ll ever meet. Her
nub never stops wagging and she loves all dogs and people. Betsy
was recently featured on Atlanta Pugged In in a segment about
caring for Senior pets. she showed up the day of her TV segment
and was a complete star. Everyone at the station wanted to meet
and pet her and you could not have asked for a better example
of a wonderful Senior dog.
