Turned in to a shelter by his owner, Blaze narrowly avoided being put to sleep in mid-February of 2003. His current caretaker learned of his pending untimely death and rescued him. Blaze is currently in foster care in need of a forever home. This 9-year-old red and rust male is neutered, cropped and docked, and in good health. He knows the commands sit and shake, and the word "no." Extremely laid back and sweet, he would probably prefer to be an only dog. He is a true Velcro-Dobe, craves attention, and is a "leaner." He likes kids and ignores cats. He currently does not seem to like close attention from other dogs, but this could change as he settles into his foster home.
