Anne has been through a very difficult time and needs some extra tender loving care. Her "dad" was jailed for beating his 62-year-old wife into a coma, and later killed himself. Anne was shut into a bedroom for some unknown time, and was taken into animal control until her current rescue caretakers heard about her. Her caretakers received a court order allowing them to take custody. Anne is at least 10 years, spayed, cropped (one ear flopped), docked, and has black and rust colors. She has a little leaking problem that is now controlled with DES medication. Her head tilts, possibly due to being struck or possibly due to Wobblers. She recently had a badly needed dental visit with a few extractions. She is housebroken, gets along with other dogs (except that now she is feeling much better, she barks and nips at the other dogs as they run out the door). She is eating well and is "playing" again. In sum, she is finding her true personality and in need of a forever home. Her experience with cats is unknown, but she seems able to get out of the way of some kids.
