Daisy!
Daisy was rescued from a shelter in southern Colorado
prior to her impending euthanasia. She is currently in foster
care looking for her forever home. Daisy is 8 years old, fawn
and tan, cropped, docked, and spayed. She is housebroken, social,
and obedience trained. She is excellent with adults, children,
dogs, and cats. She loves car rides, even with a recent emergency
vet experience. She loves walks and trips to places with large
groups of people. Daisy is quite the velcro dog, and will cling
onto any person in her vicinity. A sweeter more quietly engaging
girl is hard to imagine. She does well with bathing, nail-clipping,
and tooth-brushing. As near as her foster parents have been able
to determine, she has no faults, and an abundance of quality traits.
Shortly after coming to rescue, Daisy suffered an
incident of bloat. Emergency intervention addressed and ameliorated
the issue. She received a gastropexy immediately upon the heels
of the incident. While running various x-rays it was discovered
that she had sustained a hip fracture sometime in the distant
past. Given these things she will need to be on a specialized
anti-bloat diet, and anti-inflammatory medicine for her hip. She
is currently taking thyroid medication. The hip does not bother
her at this point. She gets around quite readily, but preventive
measures should be taken to reduce the onset or severity of arthritis
in the future.
