Buddy!
Buddy was taken out of a northern Colorado shelter following a phone call from that shelter
stating he would be euthanized in 1 hour. He was kept next to the euthanasia table in that
facility and suffered from a great deal of mental anguish. The fact that he didn't completely
go insane is a tribute to his character. Doberman Rescue of Colorado rescued Buddy and placed
him in foster care.
Buddy is black/tan, 7 years old, has natural ears, a docked tail, and neutered.
He has hypothyroidism and still has the plate and screws present from a previous
broken humorous bone. Buddy's obedience needs a little work: he does well on lead
and in a vehicle, but is learning his commands. He is good with other dogs,
albeit a bit bossy. He is incredibly playful with males and females of various breeds.
He is not a fan of felines. Buddy is a sweet and gentle soul who has already done a
couple of therapy visits to a local nursing home, and performed fabulously.
He enjoys rolling around in the dirt, grass, garbage, etc., but also enjoys a good bath.
He is great with kids, although because of his rough-and-tumble nature, older
kids would be better for his new home.
