Torpedo recently came to rescue from an animal shelter where he had been brought in, supposedly as a stray dog.  At this point in time it's probably fifty-fifty whether a dog is actually a stray or not unless the dog is picked up running loose by animal control. They tried several names for Torpedo, but he got his name because he may be the fastest, most agile dog in our program currently. He's an 8-year old dog with no known health issues and he's social with other dogs, so he gets a lot of privileges, like running loose inside six fenced acres chasing squirrels, mice, lizards, and anything else that's small and runs. He's also housebroken and has good manners, like not jumping on people and obeying the "stay" command.
