Sweetboy!
We are thrilled to let you know
that Sweetboy has found a new family to love him!
The
inhumanity of mankind never ceases to completely disgust us.
This poor guy is yet another Dobe who had been used
as a bait dog for Pit Bull fights, like Braveheart in the December
2002 issue of Doberman Digest and so many others we've all come
to know. He was given his name, Sweetboy, by the animal hospital
where he was sewn back together.
Sweetboy has recovered from his physical wounds,
although he does have some scars and is being pampered at Doberman
Pinscher Rescue in Fillmore, California. Some of
his emotional wounds remain in that he is a bit shy, submissive
to other dogs, and undemanding. But he holds no grudges and, in
typical Dobe fashion, still trusts. Sweetboy deserves - nay, has
earned the right to - a gentle, loving forever family.
He is neutered, approximately 7 to 8 years, red
and rust, with a docked tail and battle-scarred natural ears.
Surprisingly, in light of his known traumatic history, he has
no known medical needs or issues and is good working off lead.
Doberman Pinscher Rescue is willing to place Sweetboy
in California, Arizona, or Nevada. However, the adopter must agree
to personally return him to Doberman Pinscher Rescue in the event
the adoption does not work out.
