How handsome is this guy? Dax isn't really a new addition but we have been slowly getting to know him and find out more about him. He is an adult boy but still very young at heart with energy to spare. He would be the ideal companion for someone that loves to run, hike or enjoy the outdoors but he will need a leader on the other end of that leash so he won't get too worked up at the sight of other dogs. It really is just excitement but he's a big guy and a lot to handle if he isn't behaving himself. Dax is smart, affectionate and will truly do anything for his person but he needs a leader. He is also kind of a little boy at heart and can be full of shenanigans if he thinks he can get away with it. Once he knows the rules though, he is calm, quiet and well behaved. He can probably live with a large female dog because he is generally dog social but being challenged by a male dog doesn't sit well with him. Dax had no problem being exposed to small dogs in his temporary foster home but cats will bring out his prey drive. Dax is looking for the forever home of his dreams where he can live up to his potential and be showered with love for the rest of his life.
