Canela means cinnamon in Spanish and here we have a perfect example of sweetness and beauty in spite of what life has handed her.  Canela was cared about in the not too distant past.  What is known is that Canela’s owner took her to Mexico to have surgery on her broken leg and at some point her leg became infected and the metal plate started to break through the skin and became infected so she was then surrendered to a local shelter. The shelter contacted rescue who got her to their vet.  At this time it’s unclear if she’ll lose her leg but she will definitely not lose her life.  All that being said, the lovely Canela will be cared about for the rest of her days.

Special Needs if any: She'll have none once the leg issued is resolved!
