At age eight Zoey is lost and confused. Once a loved family member, she ended up at a shelter being led to the euthanasia room, content to follow the individual leading her. Fortunately for this genteel lady a vet was volunteering that day and noticed the enthusiastic wag of this girls tail, and though her body was horribly emaciated and she was on her last legs, the vet pulled her from the room and set about saving this girl. Zoey is doing well under the careful care of a loving foster mom and she's putting back on the weight that was intentionally starved right off her body. Sweet and obedient, this red cropped and docked girl has delicate features and a gentle sweet nature. She loves to walk and play, and once she is treated for heartworms, she'll be searching for a new family to allow her to live out her days surrounded in love. She gets along fine with other dogs, has no time or patience with cats, and is ready to love and trust mankind one more time!
